Learning Objectives

This course is intended for practicing radiologists and radiology technologists, nurses, industry professionals and others who are interested in both basic and advanced applications of 3-tesla magnetic resonance imaging. This meeting will be marketed regionally, nationally, and internationally.

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

Statement of Need

3-tesla MR scanners are becoming more common in hospitals and imaging centers due to their ability to produce higher quality images and decrease scan times when compared to 1.5-tesla MR scanners.  The degree to which patients benefit from this advanced technology relies heavily on how well clinicians are able to execute, evaluate, and balance these uses and adapt them to their practices.  This course will examine and discuss the advantages of high field MRI scanners and their various applications as well as educate participants on the uses of 3-tesla scanners in the areas of neurological and whole body imaging.

Accreditation

Technologists: This course has been approved for up to 14.0 ARRT Category A CE credits for those technologists attending the entire course. Please be sure to print a copy of the Technologist Guidelines (also available on-site at the technologist registration desk) which details the CEU credit breakdown and instructions for receiving credit.
